Angel Cards
Each year, our children create pictures of angels in art class. A professional artist - this year, Jennifer Richter, has the difficult job of selecting the 12 best to become greeting cards.
All cards are blank inside, making them useful for many occasions. On the back of each card, the artist shares an inspirational message about the featured angel on the cover. Each box includes twelve cards, each with a different design. Price is $10 per box. Shipping is $3.50 for one box, $4.50 for 2 – 5 boxes, and $10 for 6 – 10 boxes.

Jennifer Richter
Jennifer Richter came to Iowa kicking and screaming. When her husband’s job brought her and her four children to Iowa from Illinois, she was less than thrilled. Now, however, she “can’t imagine a better place to raise kids and meet people!” Jennifer, this year’s Angel Card Judge, grew up in Illinois and attended the University of Illinois on an art scholarship. She began her art career as an art teacher, but when her family’s schedule became too much to manage while teaching full time, she decided it was time to open an art studio, where she could work for herself. After opening her business, Sudio Virtu, , Richter began making and selling art. She specializes in sculpture, although drawing and painting are really her strengths. Little by little, she began teaching more and more students wanting to learn the ins and outs of art. Now she is back to her first love, teaching. Jennifer teaches preschool-aged children through adults, and has about 150 students a week. She loves it because she can “teach, and play with ceramics, painting, glass, printmaking, sculpture, you name it.” Jennifer still makes her own art, but mostly now by commission. Jennifer is thrilled to be this year’s Angel Card Judge, and says she is “honored to have the opportunity.” Visit her website www.studiovirtu.com to see some of the artwork done at her studio, which is located in the Sherman Hill neighborhood.
